Montblanc Heritage Chronometrie Exotourbillon

The Montblanc Manufacture has been making beautiful calibres since 1858 and this highly limited new timepiece captures the beauty and tradition of the finest elements of watchmaking.

A passion for history, tradition but also for driving new developments and techniques has coalesced into the creation of the new Montblanc Heritage Chronométrie ExoTourbillon Rattrapante Limited Edition. To look at, it’s clearly a watch that respects and embraces tradition, with its pure and elegant dial that offers up a wealth of information while retaining a legible elegance, the hallmark of Montblanc. The watch is presented in rose gold and has a sizeable diameter of 47mm. The dial features a grey grené decoration on the lower part, while the top section, which houses the star movement, is satinated.

Attention to detail has been lavished to each and every part of the watch, in terms of both aesthetics and precision.

The masterful watchmaking of Montblanc is expressed through the patented Exotourbillon complication, which was first unveiled by the manufacture in 2010, and is developed entirely in-house, a tourbillon with the balance wheel positioned on the outside of the tourbillon’s rotating cage which allows the cage to be smaller, freed of the weight of the balance wheel and thus saving more energy than a conventional tourbillon. Thanks to this ingenious energy saving technology, the tourbillon can be paired with a split-second chronograph function that works with the same barrel and power reserve as the basic chronograph movement. Split second chronographs represent the apogee of chronograph complications and Montblanc’s master watchmakers have spent countless hours perfecting an exceptional complication. No detail has been overlooked, from the beautiful bevelled edges of the components to the brushed surfaces and fi ne embellishments. Beautifully finished entirely by hand, the Montblanc Heritage Chronométrie ExoTourbillon Rattrapante (limited to just eight pieces) represents the highest standard in watchmaking.
