Unlike many places, Saint-Tropez has, and always will be, linked to my childhood memories. There were years when I spent a full season in the iconic village where Mike Jagger married Bianca in 1971. Since the launch of my website The Eye of Jewelry, this era is long gone, but organizing this photo shoot in the place I call home was the perfect chance to get reacquainted — especially as we visited off-season, which, according to locals is the best period. Neither the weather nor our work prevented us from enjoying an exquisite lunch at Club 55 in the Hampton-esque town.
We walked in the village until sunset and stopped for a drink at the legendary Hôtel Byblos before heading for dinner at Sénéquier. Driving through the village in a VW Camper; listening to my Dad (Chronopassion’s Laurent Picciotto) playing the guitar in his studio from across the garden, while we all sipped rosé wine in the vineyard; and dining at 10:30 p.m. under the red canvas roof of a local restaurant, while listening to the sounds of pouring rain and the clattering hulls of the sailing ships in the harbor. This was a genuine Tropezian escapade, real and authentic. Vintage, curated and Revolution-edition watches are available at the Revolution global online store.
